Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat organized a blood donation camp on May 09, 2023 in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps, JYC, and Red Cross Society. The aim of this event was to encourage voluntary blood donation and to raise awareness about the importance of it. The event was planned and executed by NCC, JYC, and Sub Division Administration Kandaghat.

The team set up a registration desk and a medical check-up desk to check the eligibility criteria for donors.  The blood donation camp began at 11:00 AM and continued until 2:00 PM. Faculty, staff, and students came forward to donate blood. Medical professionals from the Red Cross Society and the university health center were present to assist donors. They all were monitoring donors’ health before, during, and after the donation process.

The event saw a huge turnout, with over a number of people donating blood. All necessary precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the donors and the medical staff. This event helped raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and also helped save lives by providing much-needed blood to hospitals and clinics.

We hope that JUIT, Solan will organize such events to encourage more people to come forward and donate blood.
