The Student Services Centre (SSC) at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) organized a workshop on Psychological First Aid for faculty and staff on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Digital Learning Centre (DLC). The session was conducted from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and aimed at equipping participants with practical tools to support members of the campus community during times of psychological distress.

The workshop was led by Ms. Divya Sehgal, who served as the resource person and speaker for the session. Drawing on her expertise, she introduced participants to the core principles of psychological first aid, emphasizing the importance of empathy, active listening, and timely intervention in addressing mental health concerns.
Through interactive discussions and scenario-based learning, attendees were guided on how to identify signs of distress, respond appropriately, and provide initial support while maintaining professional boundaries. The session also highlighted the importance of creating a supportive and responsive campus environment, especially in the context of increasing academic and personal pressures faced by students.
The workshop was well received by the participants, who appreciated its practical orientation and relevance to their roles within the university. The SSC reaffirmed its commitment to promoting mental well-being on campus and announced plans to continue organizing similar capacity-building initiatives in the future.
