Waknaghat, Solan, is all set to celebrate its 7th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, 18 July 2026,
at the University Auditorium, marking another significant milestone in the University’s journey of
academic excellence, research, innovation, and nation-building.
The prestigious ceremony will be graced by Shri Kavinder Gupta Ji, Hon’ble Governor of
Himachal Pradesh and Chancellor of JUIT, as the Chief Guest. The occasion will also be graced
by Shri Manu Bhaskar Gaur, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jaypee University of Information
Technology; and Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JUIT. The ceremony will witness
the presence of distinguished members of the Governing Council and Academic Council, faculty
members, alumni, graduating students, parents, and other invited dignitaries.
Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JUIT, will deliver the Welcome Address and present
the University’s Annual Report, highlighting JUIT’s accomplishments in academics, research,
innovation, entrepreneurship, international collaborations, placements, patents, publications, start-up
ecosystem, and national and global rankings.
Addressing the graduating students, Shri Manu Bhaskar Gaur, CEO, JUIT, will encourage the
graduates to embrace innovation, leadership, ethical values, and lifelong learning while making
meaningful contributions to society and nation-building.
The Convocation Address will be delivered by Shri Kavinder Gupta Ji, Hon’ble Governor of
Himachal Pradesh and Chancellor of JUIT, who will inspire the graduating students to pursue
excellence with integrity, uphold professional ethics, and contribute responsibly towards the
development of the nation.

During the ceremony, 2,244 students will be awarded degrees, including 1,966 B.Tech., 3
Integrated M.Tech., 69 M.Tech., 116 M.Sc., and 90 Ph.D. graduates. Meritorious students will be
honored with the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medals, and other academic
awards in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. The graduating students will also
take the Convocation Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to professional ethics, lifelong learning,
and service to humanity. The ceremony will be celebrating the achievements of the graduating class
and reaffirming JUIT’s commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals, innovators, researchers,
and leaders dedicated to the progress of society and the nation.
